At Jay & Co, my consistent exposure to complex and lengthy criminal proceedings has given me the confidence to become not only a great lawyer but a leader in the realm of Criminal Defence.

Under the guidance of Principal Lawyer Esan Pilai, I continue to refine my legal knowledge, allowing me to pursue my goal of becoming a proficient solicitor advocate, to uphold the rule of law for all those who I represent.

Due to the busy nature of Criminal Defence practice, I hold numerous responsibilities such as:

  1. Assisting Solicitors by conducting complex legal research in  various areas of criminal law within the Summary and Indictable Jurisdiction.
  2. Liaising with Counsel in briefed summary hearings by drafting memorandums and records of court proceedings.
  3. Seeking leave under supervision to appear in Criminal and Filing hearings, representing people who are charged with offences such as Assault and Obtaining Property by Deception.

I believe that all individuals facing criminal proceedings deserve the highest standard of representation, throughout my experience at Jay & Co I have understood what it takes to become a leader in this profession, and it is something I work towards everyday.
